I kept this one solely as in-game screenshots simply because of the lighting that occurs around Tirisfal Glades – some of the best lighting and shadow effects in the game, as far as I’m concerned.
Completely agree with you, Tirisfal had an atmosphere of it’s own thanks to those lighting effects, completely contrasted with the happier atmosphere of Elwynn Forest and Redridge, and the hot desert atmosphere of Thousand Needles and the Barrens
Even Silverpine paled by comparison. Other areas, such as Felwood or Swamp of Sorrows, just tinted the whole area so it looked like you were looking through green lenses. I don’t really know what they did that was so different here, but it really added a dramatic feel to the whole thing, from Deathknell all the way through into the Scarlet Monastery.
I tried duplicating the effect using the model viewer, but it just wasn’t the same. So, screenshots it is for Jekk…well, until the next comic, anyway…oh, I shouldn’t spoil it. Okay, I’m done talking now. :-S
Exactly, Tirisfal just stood out but I just felt that it felt far more eerie pre-Cata; plague wagons and the transformation of Brill kind of ruined the effect for me

By the way, loving the dialogue, keep it up
